SKYLAB TRAINER SPACE CENTER HOUSTON

The above photo is of an exhibit at Space Center Houston. The pictured scene is the interior of the Skylab Orbital Workshop (OWS) mockup trainer which Skylab crews utilized for training. Skylab was America's first space station. It utilized the body of the Apollo S-IVB booster stage of the Saturn V moon rocket. Ferrying of crews to and from Skylab was accomplished with the Apollo command module spacecraft.
